Adolescent Services Training (AST) provides training activities to local districts, voluntary agencies, foster parents, and Division of Juvenile Justice and Opportunities for Youth (DJJOY) staff to prepare the adolescents that are in their care for adulthood by teaching necessary life skills and the importance of developing permanent attachments to supportive adults, families, and community.
The AST also coordinates the efforts of Youth in Progress, the New York State Foster Care Youth Leadership Team and its regional components.
